What’s great about this Hachimaki is that it isn’t some carbon copy of what was seen in the Karate Kid films. It feels exactly like what the character Daniel LaRusso wore and it is something I like to wear when I go work out. In all this is an amazing piece of nostalgia as well as a great headwear to have.

I am a 20 year old guy, and I absolutely love the Karate Kid movies (and now the Cobra Kai Youtube Red Series), and have ever since I was young! I have been looking for a Replica like this for a long time, I used to wear a Mameshibori Pattern Tenugui as a headband to replicate the look to an extent. However when I received this I was blown away by the quality of the material and screen printing, it is very accurate to the screen with length and design. However I pay a tremendous amount of attention to detail, and the dots on the band are a bit smaller, and the original headband is dyed not printed, Though I never could find a dyed one. (If you know of one please tell me!) I almost tried to make one, though dying a detailed pattern is terrible hard due to dye bleeding and what not. Aside from that, this is perfect and is very screen accurate. It gets some recondition sometimes and just looks and feels great, I wear it regularly especially since it is summer, it is great to soak it in water and wear it to keep cool. I also practice some Martial Arts and am on a path of self improvement and Fitness and so far it has held up. I am however waiting for the white to change color with sweat, but to preserve it I always rinse it in water after I sweat. It is so good I think I will buy another one to have for display and keeping in mint condition, while I beat this one up and use it for training inspiration and function!

Karate Kid was my favorite movie when I was a kid and I always wanted the "Mr. Miyagi" headband but couldn't find anything close. This tenugui is spot on to the original and is actually made with a real tenugui towel and it is quite comfortable to wear. The price is hard to beat and the quality is phenomenal! First off, people will get what it is that you are wearing. To be picky, the print is more of a dark navy blue than a pure black. Secondly, the fabric is so thin that it has to be folded just right so that the folded pattern doesn't show through. Again, very poor fabric so there are loose strings that hang off the end and I'm not sure how many washings that it will hold up to. I honestly expected more for the price. The wrap definitely looks authentic and does the job, but the quality could have been a little better for the price. The edges of the wrap are unfinished on two sides, so I had to hem them to prevent fraying. The pattern is stamped with an ink/paint that lays on the surface of the fabric. This became an issue when I tried to iron the wrap to keep the folds in place—the ink smeared a little. Next time, I will use a lower setting and iron through a cloth. Service, communication, and shipping time were great.

I have been looking for a high quality replica that actually looks just like the head band worn by Ralph in the movie...well, the search is over. This is the real deal!!! Super high quality, great detail, great price, it is not just a head band but an actual Japanese Tenugui portraying the iconic Lotus Flower in BLUE color (unlike the black color used by most of the cheap copies out there!!).

bought this for my boyfriends birthday. we love the karate kid and most things 80s. he also does karate so i figured he would love it.;the only down side is that the fabric is kind of transparent and the pattern is bright blue when i expected it to be darker.;the frabric also seems a bit scratchy.

The flower/leaf design in the middle should be slightly larger and the dots/dot pattern should be larger with the dots being spaced further apart from each other. Besides that, this is an awesome piece and is worlds better than the cheap costume one sold elsewhere all over the web. I wear it at work (a pizza joint) and people always ask if I make Sushi too or if I've got Mr. Miyagi back there in the kitchen lol!

I purchased this for my husband for his birthday, and besides the pattern part being a dark blue color (I always thought it was supposed to be black?), it looks like the real thing. Also, there is a little fraying on the edges, but I guess that gives it a more authentic look. Takes a couple minutes to figure out how to get it to correct wrapping size (not too wide) but it wasn't a big deal. Hubby is happy so it's awesome!

I own a couple versions of the "Karate Kid" headband and this is by far the best. This is an actual tenegui and you have to fold it a couple of times to wear it. It looks very authentic and I always get compliments when I wear it. The only slight problem is that it's black rather than dark blue but other than that, it's perfect.

Every other Karate Kid headband I've found is not a real foldable headband. This one is the real thing. The only thing that isn't quite right is the color. The design print should be a dark navy blue instead of black, but this is a small flaw compared to the positive attributes of the headband. Despite getting one detail wrong, this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone!
