What do you do here at 80sTees?
I wear a lot of hats around here (figuratively speaking). My most important job is the role of buyer. I decide what we sell and what licenses we go after. It's not that I don't seek input but my role is to make the call, authorize the purchase order, etc.

There are times you will call with a question and I will answer, although that seems to be less than in the past. There are even times where I will pick and pack orders, but that mostly occurs during Halloween and Christmas when we are swamped.

Other tasks include marketing and customer service.

What do you like best about your job?
Probably my favorite thing is when I read our customer reviews or talk with customers on Facebook and hear about how happy that person is.  The worst thing is when I find out we've let a customer down, but we try to use all those times as opportunities to improve the way we do things.

I also really enjoy thinking of new products and doing "research".  Research is essentially watching movies and tv shows for ideas.

What's a typical work day like for you?
I read a lot of blogs, answer a lot of emails, study lots of spreadsheets.

Spider-Man

What are some of your favorite 80s memories?
Watching He-Man in the afternoons and Spiderman and his Amazing Friends on Saturday morning.  Playing in the backyard with my brothers.  Going to Murphy's Mart to get a Nintendo game once I had saved enough money (I always brought my neighbor Chris Kline along since we played together).  Riding bikes on the trails near my house with my neighbor Joe Lyons.  Playing baseball and basketball with my friends from elementary school.  Playing touch football at recess in elementary.  Two consecutive completions was a first down even if you only went 2 yards on each pass.
